Dr. Whitney Herring -
Peds Metabolic Medicine
Dr. Whitney Herring grew up in Jackson, MS, graduating from the Mississippi State University with a degree in General Sciences in 2004. She completed her Masters in Public Health at the University of South Florida in 2006 and subsequently received her Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi, graduating in 2010.
She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Mississippi in 2013. After practicing general pediatrics, she transitioned solely to pediatric obesity care and became board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2018.
She is committed to treating children and adolescents suffering from overweight or obesity, in addition to providing guidance on healthy lifestyle practices. She is married with three children and has a ginger tabby cat named Mr. Nibbles, a Boston Terrier named Daisy Mae and two goldfish named Husky and Minty. She enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
